Yep just built another pellet pooper

Post by Frank_Cox » June 10th, 2018, 7:55 am

Well we had a couple of these square cabinets laying around for a while so I thought I make something outta one of them.
I been wanting a smaller pellet cooker for the wife to use during the week so she don’t hafta start a fire.
I didn’t take pics during the build cuz I really didn’t have time. I built it minus the cabinet in 11 hours. Not much to it lol.
Here ya go.... :strongbad:

Inpressed on so many levels....your wife (will) run a smoker, it only took 11 hours, you just happend to have all this laying around, you actually had 11 hours of free time———and the list goes on.

Seriously, cool build. I like the idea of having something quick and easy for mid week use.

Hahahaha thanks guys!
I will say that I’m impressed with the new Smoke daddy pellet pro hoppers and the controller it uses. It runs a different algorithm than the older ones gives it much tighter control. When it reaches 2 degrees from set point it pulses the fan where the old style keeps the fan speed constant. This keeps it from over shooting Temp. Good solid unit.

We'll be expecting published plans in English and metric with cut files by the end of the week. It shouldn't take you any more than 11 hours to pull that together, right?

Nope that came from SmokeDaddyinc.com. They sell them on their website.

Yep, I ran this one at 350 for an hour during seasoning then dropped it down to 250 to cook. Holds +/- 5 degrees after making temp.
The temp range on the controller goes from 160 to 450 ish.
