Staring the new build "Smokin Reefer"

Post by cdarnell » November 8th, 2013, 8:37 pm

wanted to build a pellet pooper so here goes, thought the name 'Smokin Reefer" fits

started with a nice clean 50's fridge

got a Smoke Daddy pellet setup

and started bending up some 16ga stainless

I assume you will be replacing the insulation as part of your build. The current insulation will not hold up to the heat of the smoker.

Should the thread title actually be "Starting the new build "Smokin' Reefer" ???

Either way, looks like a great project!

yes the insulation was a nasty fiber something... LOL it will now be mineral wool

yes the drive will on the left side and the 5" exhaust on the right side pretty low to increase the smoke dwell time.

yes on the spelling I was tired when I posted this...

I built a diffuser out of 1/8" stainless that is about 9x15, it will sit about 3" above the firepot
