Which one did you order?
I do not own one personally, but know they cook real well. I like the pellet drive style. (I even bought a drive unit for later use)
I know Rick and Frank seem to like em alot. They both have multiples, or at least what started as a Traeger.

For the price they arent bad. The newer units are using cheap metal. the older ones were built fairly well. which model did you get?

I don't have any experience with those, but they look easy to use. I guess as long as you keep it out of the weather even if the metal is less than what we would use, it will last well. Enjoy that thing, and let us see some food cooking.

You will still want the stickburner. The traeger is easy and very versitile, but nothin beats firin up the real thing! you will notice a taste difference from the real wood and the pellets. I use Q Pellets from southern California. so far they are better IMHO.

I have some freinds that use Yoders Pellet smokers on their cook teams. They seem to be a pain in the arse. His control has fell down on him in the middle of a cook i think twice now. I think your best bet is to build your own! trade that big one in on a junior (about $300) and do what I did or what Rick did. you will be a lot happier I bet...

I gotta vote with Frank on this one,

Insulate a box and put the feeder on it. Mine is cool but sometimes I wish I had the ease of the pellet on start up.

And baking at 400 seems pretty cool as well.
