WFO, Brick Smoker, Tuscan Grill build.

I will try not to rush through this and will try to keep it updated, but am at the point of finishing the smoker.
I will start a new thread just for the smoker as it holds many unanswered questions...
I will try to keep a pace were I can field questions as we go.

I see Brick ties in the block walls, did you lay those with mortar in the joints and fill them with concrete or just the mortar?

The brick is set with just mortar. There is a small gap between block and brick.

I am still debating on the liner for the smoker. I am thinking fire brick with a 1" insulating concrete between block and brick, but have the option for insulated stainless. For another thread though...
