Which MIG?

Post by soccerguy83 » January 22nd, 2016, 11:55 am

I will be welding up to 1/4" understandably on flux core.

Ok guys, thoughts on these two options.

Lincoln Weldpak 3200hd with cart, fair amount of wire, and helmet local for $350obo

or

Hobart Handler 140 with cart, CO2 cyl, gloves, couple rolls of wire, and helmet 2 hours away for $525

Thoughts?

I'm having a hard time finding info on the 3200HD to make a good choice on.

I use a Lincoln and love it....easy and reliable. I have no experience on a Hobart.

I'm not a fan of flux core....shielding gas practically eliminates my splatter and makes clean, neat welds.

Probably can't go wrong either way.
