you would need the hemispherical ends like off of a 500 gallon tank.

I just read thru this thread, did the final pics ever get posted? Man that has got to be one of the more interesting builds I have gotten to follow. How common are those spheres? I'm thinking there is a back yard version in my future. Not near future mind you but down the road for sure.
(just in case my better half has taken to reading the threads on her off days) :D

If it can't be smoked .... try frying it. It that don't work, it's probably best just left alone

Yeah, that was my concern. The posts were coming hot and heavy and then ... "crickets" I think the sphere would be a real heat miser and a good insultated firebox would make this and real gem of a brisket or butt cooker. Heck for that matter just about any single temp could be maintained and achieved. Just thinking. I'm the guy who's only electric tool is a dremmel so I just do a lot of thinking. :D

THAT'S IT! - Stop everything.

We have GOT to add Solo's use of the word "crickets" to our site slang library....

I mean REALLY. ... had me doubled over ... =))

"Crickets"; the collective expression from all readers of "I got nothin...'"

Priceless ... :D
