Does Size Matter

Post by Texasbowhunter » June 21st, 2019, 11:52 am

I'm considering getting a different fan for my Gravity feed and was curious as to what size fan I might consider...
I see that there are a couple CFM sized fans available out there and am curious as to whether I should go with the standard fan which may be in the neighborhood of 10 CFM or go with the larger 20 CFM fan...
I have a Custom MIni with a interior size of 16,800 square inches...
If I was to go with the 20 CFM would it be over powering with the amount of air delivered to the coals to keep it consistent or should I consider the lesser sized where it would be harder worked to bring the temps up to desired temps after the door was opened...

I'm using a 6.8cfm on my double pan GF, and as long as I keep the ash knocked down, it seems to do fine.
