Gasket for Mini GF

Post by clutch_kick » February 10th, 2017, 10:44 am

Guys, would anybody know where in Europe I could get hold of suitable gasket for the Mini GF?
Trying to save a little on the shipping, unless there are alternatives I could use.

I got mine shipped to Australia from Island Outdoor(through eBay) at a cheap price & reasonable shipping, worked out at about $40AUD(about £20-25) & it's the quality you need without hoping it will be ok getting it locally. :kewl:

Really?? It was only $10-15 to Australia, maybe message him & see if that is correct.

Maybe you can look local for a fireplace store that sells wood stove door seals or one that services wood stoves. Many buy the material in bulk and you could get a good price.

Looks at a piece of meat and wonders how many ways can I smoke that.

Yeah there are plenty of stove/fireplace installers but none of them have heard of Nomex gasket and they all just use that fireproof rope.

Would this be OK instead of the Nomex Gasket?

It's 25mm x 3mm self adhesive

It should be ok, the knit is pretty loose but there is a large point of contact on the door flange. What is the temp rating?

:yth:

If it works for a wood stove then it should work for a smoker.
