Maverick Bluetooth

Postby Pete Mazz » March 30th, 2015, 4:56 pm

I just saw that Maverick has a Bluetooth temp monitor for sale for $80. Maverick ET-735 with ability to use 4 probes. The app supposedly sucks tho. My biggest fear is the Bluetooth range. The older radio units have always performed better in this regard. Until my current unit dies I'll be on the sideline. I'd be more tempted if they came out with a WiFi unit. Probably not a good idea for comps but it would beat the hell out of Bluetooth.

If it's tourist season, how come I can't shoot 'em?

I would never recommend anything Bluetooth. It's the most unreliable wireless signal on the market. If these temp probe mfg's could get their act together and come out with a product that support "G" and "N" WiFi, I would be first in line to buy one.
