Cookin Frozen Brisket

Post by Mo Smoke » February 9th, 2018, 7:33 pm

Has anyone ever thrown a frozen brisket directly on the smoker? Think cooking it from frozen might make it more moist than usual? I know injecting might be a lil difficult.

My only experience with cooking frozen is hamburger patties. They are a bunch better if you let them thaw out before grilling.

My thought is the outside would be so darn overcooked as to be inedible long before the center gets up to temp. Not to mention it would be a 20+ hour cook.

Interested to know results if you give it a whirl tho...

Yeah I figure the worst thing about it would be the extended time which is already long to start with.

I wouldn’t do it. But I like the brisket the way I do it so I won’t be changing it.

Making memories!
