Spray it all down with a good coat of cooking oil and let it rip for a day. Keep adding your favorite wood chunks to smoke.

So I seasoned my uds yesterday and autotune my pid controller. This is after seasoning. 

I found that as my temp probe is 300mm long it reaches the centre of the drum and was susceptible to any temp variation so I made a baffle plate this morning at work.

More oil... Coat the thing in oil then fire it up. You'll get a nice black patina on it. I like your difuser... looks familiar...

It had a real good coating of cooking oil. Managed to get about 12 hrs burn from my basket with about 6lb of briquettes
