Stove Black?

Post by WITWAG » April 19th, 2016, 3:54 pm

I've seen a couple of people recomend using stove black to refurbish an old smoker. I was curious if anyone on here has used it as the primary coat and color for a new smoker. I thought it might be a unique look that would offer a kind of patina to the finish while still protecting the steel. I think in my head I am picturing a shiny black smoker with a little silver showing through..I dont know. Any thoughts or ideas appreciated, Thanks

I use Rustoleum high heat flat black. Used it on exhaust manifolds and my harley pipes. I figure if it works on those the Smoker should be a piece of cake.
